KidLitVic Management Team Member, Jaquelyn Muller, recently chatted with Kinderling Radio host, Shevonne Hunt, about writing for children and how KidLitVic can help the careers of anyone wanting to break into children's publishing. You can listen to the podcast here:
KidLitVic aims to assist the careers of children's literary creators. In 2017 we will again offer two scholarships. Scholarships cover the cost of the $240 conference ticket, which will be refunded if you have already purchased your ticket.
In order to qualify for a scholarship you must have either an Australian Healthcare card or live in a regional centre or out of the state of Victoria.
Email firstname.lastname@example.org with the subject heading: 2017 Scholarship and in 25 words or less tell us why you should receive one of the two scholarships.
Applications close 6th February, 2017
All week we have been teasing you with the news that next year, at KidLitVic we will be running a series of four workshops aimed at specific skills in children's publishing. They will run during the day and intertwined with the panels and assessments, (we are lucky to have a very clever member of our team who knows how to make all that work).
Bookings will open on Feb 13, 2017 and the workshops will cost $40 with a limit of 30 spots available to maximise your opportunity to ask questions, discuss ideas and share experiences.
In the meantime check out all the information here. The hardest thing is which one will you attend?
